1 Timothy 4:12-16

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you.

Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

Youth Leaders

Cost

At only $125 per person, we are extremely excited about being able to bring this type of mission opportunity to the Wiregrass area at 1/3 of the cost for other mission projects like M-Fuge, World Changers or Student Life! No other mission camp can offer one entire week of local mission projects, praise & worship, lodging & food for only $125 per person.

Without a doubt, WIRED is the most affordable mission opportunity available and we look forward to your student ministry being a part of this great opportunity.

Registration Deadlines

March 1, 2010-A $250 deposit must be paid by each church. This deposit will be counted toward your church’s final camp balance. Each church must also submit a summary of the number of students that will be in each ministry track (i.e. Social Ministry-12, Construction-7, Childrens-VBS-9, etc).

May 1, 2010-Each church must have submitted their final numbers for WIRED, as well as a $25 deposit per each attendee.  In addition, each church will need to email Mark Anderson ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) their churches overall participation form that details the name of each participant, their gender, whether they are an adult or student, the grade of the student, t-shirt size and each person's three ministry team choices.  Churches must also submit how they will be transporting WIRED students to and from work sites, and the names of the drivers for the transportation they provide.

June 1, 2010-The final balance must be paid.  Just a reminder, please make sure that you deduct the $250 deposit that your church turned in on March 1st from your final payment.  Here is a quick example to make sure you understand how this should be done.  40 participants @ $125 per person = $5,000 - $250 deposit = $4.750 as final payment.

Both the deposit and final balances can either be mailed or delivered to the Columbia Baptist Association offices:

We ask that you give us a close estimate on the number of people participating with your student ministry in WIRED 2010 by April 1st and have your completed registration form with a final listing of all participants, including students and adult chaperones, turned by May 1st.

It is necessary that each participating church provide us with the mission tract chosen by each individual participating in your group. Every student & adult chaperone will have the tract option of participating in Painting, Construction, Roofing, Social Ministry, or Children’s Ministry-VBS, and Children's Ministry-Games & Rec. Additional information required is the grade that each student will be entering that fall and their t-shirt size.

Chaperone Requirements

WIRED requires that each participating church bring 1 adult chaperone for every 5 students of the same gender attending our camp.  WIRED requires that each church supply their own chaperones and will no longer be able to rely on other churches chaperones to lodge with your students.  If two churches join together to attend WIRED, there must be adults from each church in attendance at WIRED.  If you have less than 5 students of the same gender attending camp, you will be required to bring a chaperone to be responsible for them.  There will be no exceptions to this policy for 2010.

Transportation Policy

Every church attending WIRED 2010 must provide transportation that has adequate setting for the total number of participants within your group and make it available to us to be used to transport participants to a variety of mission sites throughout the Wiregrass.  For more detailed information regarding our Transportation Policy, please read the Transportation Policy section in our WIRED 2010 Information packet.

Lodging Accommodations

All students will either be housed at Mt.Gilead Baptist Church, First Baptist Church Dothan or Ridgecrest Baptist Church. There will be adequate showers for everyone and enough room to separate the girls from the guys. Hall monitors will be provided every night to ensure everyone stays in their rooms.

Ministry Track Leaders

We are in need of college students and young adults within your church that can fill leadership roles in each of our ministry teams that will lead in our daily Bible study and act as our site coordinator for their mission site during WIRED 2010.  They will be required to participate in the week of training scheduled for June 21-25, 2010.  If you should have anyone interested, please get them to look at the Ministry Track Leader information at the bottom of our website.
